Emergency Preparedness for Indigenous Businesses in BC
COAST SALISH TERRITORIES (VANCOUVER), May 2024: Indigenous communities in British Columbia are tapping into their strength and cultural wisdom to prepare for the season ahead. ITBC recommends all Indigenous tourism operators and communities develop an emergency plan and proactive measures to ensure the safety of their families, lands, and visitors in all emergencies, including wildfires. Planning ahead supports recovery.
