Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada has released Phase 1 of their COVID-19 Development Stimulus Fund, supporting 94 export-ready Indigenous tourism businesses across Canada, including twenty Indigenous businesses in BC with grants of up to $25,000. Indigenous Tourism BC acknowledges Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada’s unwavering commitment to the Indigenous tourism industry.
Throughout BC, Indigenous tourism businesses have shown incredible resiliency through these challenging times, finding innovative ways to adapt their businesses and continuing to bring Indigenous tourism to the world. Indigenous Tourism BC and Indigenous Tourism Association are both incredibly proud to re-profile dollars to directly support Indigenous tourism businesses as they manage the impacts of COVID-19.
This is one more step in supporting Indigenous businesses and we will continue to work with federal and provincial partners to further invest in maintaining a strong Indigenous tourism industry in BC.
